Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest is the second film under the Pirates of the Caribbean series. It is of adventure fantasy genre and was based from the storyline written by Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio under the direction of Gore Verbinski. It was produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckeimer Films under the distribution of Buena Vista Pictures.

The plot of the film centred when Captain Jack Sparrow discovers that his debt to Davy Jones is about to due and he also learns that the wedding of Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann was interrupted by the envious Lord Cutler Beckett as he wants Turner to retrieve the compass from Jack.

The main cast of the film are Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, Orlando Bloom as Will Turner, Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Swann, Bill Nighy as Davy Jones, and Tom Hollander as Lord Cutler Beckett.

The fantasy-adventure film garnered a gross revenue of $1,066,179,725 from the budget of $225 million earning its second box office hit.
